Singer Davido has responded to the news of socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, being granted a N10 million bail after pleading not guilty to alleged naira abuse.
Cubana Chief Priest was arraigned before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday. He faced a three-count charge related to the abuse of the Naira.
Following his bail, Cubana Chief Priest expressed gratitude to his friends and fans for their support, acknowledging that the trial had humbled him and confirmed that he is not insignificant.
In response to Cubana Chief Priest’s post on Instagram, Davido expressed disbelief at the possibility of his friend being jailed, emphasizing that he couldn’t bear not seeing him for six months.
He wrote, “I no go see u for 6 months ke… Never.”
This exchange comes in the wake of popular crossdresser Bobrisky being sentenced to six months in jail without the option of a fine by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos for Naira mutilation.
