Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji, has appealed to Nigerians for patience in light of the recent petrol pump price hike from N500 to N617 per liter.
He urged citizens to exercise restraint and understand the difficulties caused by the Fuel Subsidy removal under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
During a meeting with journalists in Abuja at the National Assembly, after a courtesy call on Senator Godswill Akpabio and Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, alongside Ekiti state representatives, Governor Oyebanji assured Nigerians that the sacrifices they are making will eventually yield benefits.

He emphasized that confronting these challenges head-on is essential, and commended President Tinubu for having the courage to address the issue directly.
Governor Oyebanji stressed the necessity of making difficult decisions to navigate the current situation effectively, and he expressed confidence that Nigerians will soon see the President’s good intentions.
He urged the public to be patient, as there are no easy solutions, and positive outcomes will emerge from the tough decisions taken.
