Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has announced that a part of it’s Plateau State branch was on Tuesday razed by fire.
CBN confirmed the incident in a post on its verified Twitter page.
The apex bank described the fire outbreak as a minor incident which has been promptly contained.
“Minor fire outbreak at the Jos branch of the Central bank of Nigeria, promptly contained today, April 21, 2020,” the tweet read.
Going by record, this is the fifth fire outbreak in six months at key Federal Government offices.
There was a fire outbreak at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Abuja few days ago.
Recall that on April 8, some offices at the Accountant General’s office at the treasury house in Abuja also caught fire.
There was also a fire outbreak at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on April 15th
