50 Kidnappers/herdsmen have been arrested by the NSCDC, Nigeria security and Civil defense corps for waking around bearing arms.
This is as confirmed by the Commandant-General of the NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Audi on the 7th of April, while presenting licences to private guard operators to use firearms.
Dr. Ahmed Audi disclosed that some of the arrested herdsmen are truly into cattle rustling and by they also perform kidnapping.

They were reportedly arrested in Ekiti, Borno and Cross River states.
He said;
“We arrested 50 illegally armed herdsmen and realised that some of them are into cattle rustling and kidnapping.
“The armed herdsmen were arrested in Ekiti, Borno and Cross River states and in some other parts of the country.”
