The government of Cross River has ordered civil service workers to resume work on Tuesday, 14th of April, 2020 despite the increment of COVID-19 cases in the country.
Christian Ita who is the spokesperson of Governor Ben Ayade said in a a statement released yesterday;
All returning civil servants are to receive nose masks from the COVID-19 Response Task Force through their respective permanent secretaries.

All nose masks to be used in the state must be locally made, with the place of origin clearly marked.
The sale of masks made by the Cross River State Garment Factory is prohibited. Masks are to be distributed free of charge.
The government of Cross River also added that the “NO mask, No movement” rule should be maintained by all civil service workers and to be precise, the civil service workers that would be resuming start from grade level 10, anything less would kindly remain at home.
Also the gathering of more than 20 people is still prohibited in the state and finally, people/residents would be granted access to public places like the markets, banks, sport hall/center, and mall if appropriate measure is taken.
