Isolated lockdowns might be ordered by the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) in some states in Nigeria as the cases recorded hits 5,621 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
The chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF), Boss Mustapha made the statement and he also said the news about nationwide lockdown is a rumor as no such thing as been discussed.
According to a report on ThisDay, the chairman said the isolated lockdown will not affect all states of the country but some states which are experiencing a rise in cases confirmed.

He also stated that some areas would now be watched closely to monitor the spread of the virus in those vulnerable areas. He used Kano state to describe how the Isolated Lockdown would look like.
Meanwhile, On the 16th of May, 2020, NCDC announced via their twitter page that 176 people have tested positive to COVID-19 which made the total number of confirmed cases hit 5,621 in Nigeria.
