Toxicology examinations on the remains of Afrobeat singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, are currently underway in the United States, as revealed by the Lagos State government on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
The information was conveyed to Magistrate Adetayo Shotobi during the coroner’s investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s passing.
Responding to inquiries from other parties’ legal representatives about the delay in the autopsy report, Lagos State counsel O. Akinde explained that the critical toxicology test, pertaining to internal body examination, is being conducted by experts in the U.S.
Despite questions about utilizing local toxicology laboratories, Akinde emphasized that the decision was made to avoid controversy surrounding the autopsy report due to the specific nature of the substances involved.
