Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello led administration announced the release of the result of 111 people who were tested for COVID-19 in the State.
The Governor said in his announcement that the 111 people test results came back negative.
The above statement was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, and according to him, the tests were carried out in the absence of an official of the Nigeria Center for Disease Contro, NCDC.

He also said the new development has made kogi State still free of pandemic and that the testing kits used were provided by the State governments.
He said;
“Kogi State got testing kits independently and followed NCDC guidelines,”

“111 COVID-19 rapid tests were conducted in Kogi State yesterday (Monday), and all results came out negative,”
“We shall not go to streets to pick people to be tested for COVID-19, but hospitals where people with similar symptoms are found and also based on any information of suspected cases.”
