A man in Oyo state who has been identified as Abegunde Olaniyi has been arrested for the murderer of an evangelist, Mrs. Grace Ajibola of Christ Apostolic Church located at Oke Imole, Ibadan, in Oyo State.
Mr, Abegunde Olaniyi is an errand boy to the deceased and he is 34 years old, he told the police that he hit her with a wooden object, before he strangled her, and then went away with her Tecno phone and three ATM cards.
According to him, he explained that the evangelist, Mrs. Ajibola had about 2 million Naira in her bank account and he confirmed it when she sent him to go withdraw some money for her at a bank at Apata, in Ibadan.

He said, “I decided to murder her and take possession of the money”. According to a report, he had already withdrawn up to 120k using the ATM’s with him before he was arrested in Akure where he was hiding.
He also added that he wasn’t himself when he was performing the act.
Mr. Sina Olukolu, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police said the police force have recovered the deceased mobile phone and ATM cards. Talking to the journalist at the Command Headquarters, Ibadan, Mr. Sina Olukolu said Abegunde killed the evangelist at 11 am at her house in Oluyole area of Ibadan.
