A trending video of popular social influencer and Big Brother Naija reality TV star, Hermes shows how he was harassed by the Nigerian force in the name of stop and search.
Hermes permitted the search of his entire car, bags, and his body. According to Hermes, he lost his phone in the process of the whole search which cost him 1.4 million Naira.

Hermes could be heard saying the police are supposed to protect the citizens of the country and not harassed them at every chance they get because he is a taxpayer and a law-abiding citizen of Nigeria.
The policeman didn’t stop to have a polite conversation with him, instead, he said he is not a child when it comes to policing and that he condemns bad conduct.
As seen in the video, the police officer appears to be looking for something incriminating to be used against Hermes but got disappointed in the end because he found nothing.
It is not clear if they took his alleged missing phone but according to Hermes, they probably have it. Watch the videos below:
