The governor of rivers state has given a direct order to the forces to go in search of looted items.
Governor Ben Ayade said the forces should try all their best to put an end to all violence in the state and recover all items looted from the government buildings.
It was reported that about 35 government and private properties were looted while some were set on fire amid the protest which turned into a riot despite the curfew put in place to curb it.

The governor released a statemet through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Christian Ita, it reads;
“The governor also wants the security agents to carry out a house to house search for looted property and arrest everyone involved in the looting of both public and private property in the state“
