The United States of America’s General Counsel, Mr. W. Bruce Delvalle in a statement on the 15th of March has asked The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to declare the correct result of the just concluded Nigerian presidential election.
Mr. Bruce made this known during the NADECO press conference in Washington DC. According to the General Council, the electoral body broke its own regulation in the 2023 presidential election.
He added that the election was supposed to be the cleanest, fairness and straight election to be conducted in the history of Nigeria and Africa at large.
According to Bruce, INEC itself announced that over 80 million PVC was collected but it turned out that only a few over 8 million voters were confirmed to have voted according to the results declared by INEC. He further stated that the math doesn’t add up.
Rounding up, the United States General council said Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has to prove itself because it is glaring that what had taken place is vote buying and bribery. It is high time the international community beamed its light on the Nigerian Judiciary should they fail to do what’s right according to the USA General Counsel, W. Bruce Delvalle
