Nigerian afro-pop and award-winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has said he doesn’t listen to rap music because it’s “d£ad and boring”.
Speaking in a recent interview with 10 magazines, Wizkid made it known that Afropop from Afrobeat is the new wave. He added that he sold over 2 million copies of a song in America.

Wizkid said he doesn’t listen to any other genre of music anymore. He doesn’t listen to rap because it is boring to him and it’s dead in the market.
He said:
“Afrobeats is the new pop. I sold two million copies in America off of one song! Even some American artists don’t have a diamond record. If I’m being honest, I don’t listen to any other genre of music anymore.
I don’t listen to rap – that sh#t is boring to me. It’s d£ad now, it’s tired. These guys do the same sh#t, rap on the same beats and the same flows.”

Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, well known by her stage as KieKie and a popular media figure from Nigeria, has put a baby to sleep.
